C. S. Croft
Fiction
Interested in perspective, power, restraint, and the hidden stories people live inside.
About
I write fiction interested in perception, structure, emotional restraint, and the unstable narratives through which people understand themselves and one another.
Reading
I’m drawn to fiction that reconsiders inherited stories, tests accepted realities, and finds depth through restraint. Books that have stayed with me include Small Things Like These, Night Boat to Tangier, The Buried Giant, James, Julia, The Master and Margarita, and Quichotte.
